Judy Janzen AIFD
Judy Janzen, AIFD, CFD, began her floral design career in 1980 at her parents’ shop, Hiebert’s Vista Florist in Fresno, CA. Her dedication to the craft led to her induction into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in July 2024. Judy earned California Certified Florist (CCF) status in 2019, finishing as 1st runner-up in the California State Floral Association’s Top Ten competition. In 2023, she placed 3rd in the Bay Area Cup and competed in the Sylvia Cup. In November 2024, she claimed the Top Ten title in California, and in 2025, she designed for the Rose Parade. Judy treasures the support of her mentors and the friendships she has built throughout her journey.
Amber Kirkland AIFD
Amber Kirkland, AIFD, CF, CFD, is the owner/designer of The Velvet Touch Events and founder of Fleur University. With over 30 years of experience, she earned her Certified Florist (CF) designation in 2023 and was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 2024. Amber is a six-time Great Lakes Floral Association 1st Place Competition Winner and Chuck Bannow Award recipient (2024 & 2025), as well as the 2025 Designer of the Year and 2025 CF Member of the Year. She also claimed 1st place in AIFD’s Design of the Decades 1980s Competition in 2025. In addition to her floral career, she has an engineering background and is passionate about educating and mentoring future designers.
Jesus Rivera AIFD
Immigrating to the U.S.A. from Mexico, Jesus Rivera AIFD, CFD, resides in northern California. He is known for crafting breathtaking arrangements that captivate and enchant; his creations are a fusion of elegance and natural beauty, earning him industry certification in 2022. His relentless determination paid off in 2024 when he reached his goal as an American Institute of Floral Design member. His competitive spirit keeps him active in events like the Sylvia Cup. He placed 3rd in the Bay Area Cup and Cal State Top Ten 2024. He was also a featured designer in the 2025 Rose Parade.
